Methods Used in the Training
- Simulation games
- Hartman Questionnaire – helps determine and understand communication style (DISC styles)
- Thomas-Kilmann Questionnaire – helps determine and understand conflict resolution style
- Lectures – this workshop contains a lot of content that must be delivered, and lectures are indispensable
- Independent work – encourages finding answers using one’s own resources
- Exercises in pairs and groups – pair work allows each participant to experience both roles; group and pair work allows sharing ideas and becoming sensitive to others’ perspectives (e.g. different conflict resolution methods, communication styles in DISC context)
- Reviewing and discussing exercises – enables exchange of opinions and practicing empathetic or cognitive empathy
- Written tasks – engage different parts of the brain, requiring synthesis and creation of ideas/projects; connect familiar concepts with new workshop material
- Presentation of work results in forum – enables learning from others, comparing approaches, exploring different options
